pollen path

The Navajos tell a story of the pollen path.

According to Joseph Campbell, this is the life path that is unique to each and every individual. The Navajo say that, when you find yourself on that path, your outer world matches the inner one, so that everything you encounter along the way, and even on the ground below and in the infinite sky above, looks as if it is covered with pollen. The world becomes golden. Within orisa lifestyle, we relentlessly pray, 'Ori inu mi ko ma ba ti ode je', which means 'May my inner head not spoil my outer one.' It is an acknowledgement of the dynamic interplay between the visible and invisible realms. More importantly, this adage is meant to remind you that the invisible world is actually the source of the visible world. That is, in the same way that the New Moon gives birth to the Full Moon, so does ori inu - the inner head - give birth to ori ode the outer head. So, your ability to align your outer lifestyle with your inner spiritual essence represents the pathway of personal fulfillment. This is what it means to live the medicine.
